Enjoy

I am totally enamored with the Heidi Swapp stickers in the February 2014 Artful Delight card kit.  I created this card with papers, stickers, and ribbon in the kit.  I used a black marker for the butterfly trail.  I hope you enjoy the current sale at Artful Delight, while supplies last.  Everything is 50% off; use coupon code AD2014 at check out.  There is a flat rate shipping cost of $7.50.

There will be no new kits as of March 1st.  Artful Delight remains my favorite kit club, so I am super sad that they are closing after four years of wonderful kits.  Please stop by the Artful Delight blog and say goodbye!

Enjoy this happiness

This anniversary/congratulations card was created with a scrap of black card stock, two border punches, and my February 2014 Artful Delight kit.  I really love the Heidi Swapp sentiment stickers and chevron heart die cut that I used for this card.  Lately I have needed cards in a hurry, and I was able to design and create this card in about an hour.  I had so much fun that I am anxious to play with the kit some more!

There are still a couple of kits left, so go shop at the Artful Delight store and purchase this kit.  And for some fun card and layout ideas, check out the eye candy my talented Design Team sisters have created on the Artful Delight blog.

Happy Sunday!

UR Sweet - Thank You

Hello!  I created a quick thank you using a sentiment stamp, three stickers, papers, and card stock...100% from the February 2014 Artful Delight card kit!  The "sweet" and both butterflies are Heidi Swapp stickers; aren't they fun?  The "thank you" is a Paper Smooches sentiment, and I love these bold colors in both patterned papers.

Get your kit before they sell out and don't forget to play along in either (or both) of the sketch challenges on the right-hand side bar of the Artful Delight blog for a chance to win next month's kit!

Happy Sunday!

Cut It Up #38 - Valentine's Day

Need some valentine inspiration?  Then check out the valentine cards and projects that my Cut It Up design team sisters have created; I promise you will get an eyeful of sweet cards and treats!

I love Cut It Up challenges because I can use old supplies, new supplies, or a little bit of both!  My chevron paper is a new Doodlebug "Sweetheart" paper, the epoxy heart circle and "&" are old Queen and Co. stash, the twine and red card stock base are also old stash.  Both the Doodlebug paper and doily was a happy mail package from my sweet friend Court.  My "you" and "me" are die cut from black card stock using the font from the Cricut "Cake Basics" cartridge.
Then go create your own valentine card or project, include a die cut, and link up at Cut It Up for a chance to win a $20 coupon code to As Cute as a Button or their etsy shop.
I hope to see you at Cut It Up!

Happy Friday!

EAD Designs hop: Love and Valentines

Although EAD Designs and their excellent quality stickers, rub-ons, and vinyl closed its doors more than a year ago, many of us still cherish our EAD goodies.  Some former EAD design team members and other EAD fans have been using their EAD products for a monthly hop...and there are prizes to be won just for hopping along and leaving comments.  (Commenting open through Saturday, February 8th 11:59pm PST.)

I created my love card with three EAD stickers (two roses and the decorative "LOVE".)  The papers and card stock are from my January 2014 Artful Delight card kit.  I also used a vellum layer, black card stock scrap, a scrap of seam binding, and staples from my stash.

If you still have valentines left to make or a love card for an upcoming anniversary/just because, I hope you will find inspiration in this hop.

  Here is the hop list:

February 2014 Artful Delight kit - Happy Birthday card

My doorbell rang the other day and my mailman was there standing in a snow drift at my front door in frigid weather with my February Artful Delight card kit.  He said, "I brought your mail to you because I didn't want to bend this package."  Now I know he probably had no idea what was in the bubble envelope, but I am so grateful to him!  Our previous carrier would fold mail in half and shove it in the box making it difficult to pull out too.  This new guy always has a smile on his face and is always so pleasant.

I opened this newest kit with my usual awe and wonder and this particular sheet of paper made me giddy with delight!  Yep, I have serious paper issues when the sight of a 6x6 piece of paper can elate me.  I love the arrows, ombre, and the little stars were already die cut into the paper!

I created this card 100% from the papers, stamps, and die cuts in this February kit.  The ink pad and foam tape (for dimension) are both from December 2013 kit (sold out).  The larger white stars are die cuts.  They are really pretty IRL too with a pearlized embossed stripe and outline.  I used two Paper Smooches "Talk Bubble" stamps for the sentiment and bubble.  And I used Suzanne's fun card sketch:
Now I know you want some kits for yourself, so check out the Artful Delight store.  There are a few kits from March, May, September, and November that are discounted, but the other months are sold out.  I have purchased three different kits all at once; that way I take advantage of the discounted kit cost and I save on shipping.  The May kit is a particular favorite of mine; the large "thank you" stamp set alone is worth the entire kit in my opinion, but I also love the bright happy papers.  If you enjoy the chalkboard trend but don't want the expense of purchasing entire collections, then you may be interested in the November kit.  You can also use your supplies and play along with either (or both) of the February challenges on the Artful Delight blog for a chance to win next month's kit.

  Happy Sunday!
